REORGANIZING OUR CREDIT UNION

As the new year has arrived, our credit union has approached a crossroads were we must look at all options and what will be best for our members today and tomorrow. With the resignations of our office manager and assistant manager the board of directors will be making decisions in the near future on how to proceed with what we believe is best for our members.

First and foremost understand that we are open for business, very strong financially and here to serve you, our members.

We are currently advertising for a new manager that has experience with credit unions and a strong financial background. We are also exploring options with other credit unions and what services they could offer our members. Many factors will go into this decision such as current dividend rates, loan rates, online banking availability, ease of access just to list a few with other credit unions.

Currently the office is open 9am to 4 pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, closed on Wednesday. Beth and Mary will be staffing the office on these days to provide services during this transition period.

Our credit union faces many hurdles with new Federal Regulations on small credit unions such as ours since the financial meltdown in 2008-2009. Although we have worked hard to comply with these regulations they have come at a cost of lower dividends as you have seen on your statements. The current board of directors have and will continue to offer the best dividend yields possible. Please join us at the annual dinner, posted below where we will be discussing these options.
